Cartoon Donald Trump, ‘Greatest Character Actor Of All-Time,’ Visits Stephen Colbert

Much ink has been spilled over the recent, surreptitiously recorded assurances of Paul Manafort, a senior Donald Trump advisor, to a room of Republican higher-ups. Trump, Manafort said, was playing a “part” for voters, putting on an act that he would slowly phase out as his grip on the Republican nomination grew tighter.

Last night Cartoon Donald Trump, an invention of Late Night with Stephen Colbert, visited the show to let Stephen in on the lifelong performance art project that made him the likely Republican nominee for president.

 “Come on, now, old bean – you didn’t seriously think I believe what I was saying during this campaign?” he asked. “If so, you’re even crazier than I’ve been pretending to be.”
